I'm sure if you do have a word near the district manager you will seize a full refund. If not a bit person underneath the age of 18 can legally rear out of a contract (including previous purchase agreement). As far as I know your child is entitled to a full refund, especially if the product is still contained by the condition it was purchased.

Answers: Its not the store's error, they shouldn't have to bite it on this. They won't be capable of resell it once it's open, defective or not. I vote no refund. I dont know it depends what store it is and what state you live in

There isn't a legal spending time limit based on age. The conception of wanting such a law also seem against the ideology of a free society. However how you raise your child is your business. Though, if the child spent his money on a item that he could justifiably buy, then why should the store lose money buy giving a full settlement for something they cannot resell at full price?
