What obstacles did you encounter when planning, setting up and executing your business and how did you business deal with these?

Thanks

Answers:    Biggest snag, which we are facing now, is getting honest hands especially surrounded by Marketing. With so many BPOs and IT companies offering solid pay checks, nobody is predisposed to do the hard work.
We did enjoy the initial teething problems when we started our enterprises. (I suppose every one go through this phase) The budgets would go haywire, society on whom you spent a lot of money and time suddenly quit. Worst sector at that time, and thankfully it is not nearby now, be the red tap-ism.
But then doggedness paid. Now we are on well brought-up firm footing. Alhamdolillah.
Depends very much on the temper of the business but the greatest challenge is getting angelic trustworthy advice and services from the right populace.

It doesn't take too long to work out some of the things you inevitability to know about such as cashflow, investment, company registration, returns, VAT, PAYE, directors income charge, insurance, legal and contractual pitfalls, business systems etc but the disregard is finding someone who can help near the specifics and the fine detail of how these effect *your* business, rather than a moment ago knowing about them surrounded by general lingo.

Business Link can be very angelic, have lots of adjectives information on most aspects of setting up and running a business as well as free events and access to expertise and resources. The Federation of Small Businesses is also worth looking at.

A lot of university have Business Incubators. Try the ones contained by your region and try to get along to an unfurl day or event. Also try to find out just about networking events and "breakfast clubs" within your area - even if you don't mix up for these you'll probably be invited to a free introductory meeting which could be adjectives you need if someone next to the experience or contacts you need happen to be there!
