Any virtual Assistant? I have almost 4 years of Office Experience, great people skills

I have almost 4 years of Office Experience, great people skills and an associates point in Business.
I would love to work from home to be more available to my children but I'm afraid of putting myself contained by a financial hole. I hate to be back up on bills. How long will it take for me to become succesful? How can I stir about this? I know I entail to make moves b/c if I stay put..I'll never procure anywhere in go. Can anyone give me thinking or tell me how you did it?

I'm a virtual assistant. It's not that difficult to set yourself up as an independent contractor and your start up costs are totally low compared to other businesses. There is so much information for you here.
