Are building plans publicly available? I'm looking to open my own assisted living center, and needed some

I'm looking to open my own assisted living center, and needed some thinking for a building floor plan. Are building plans for commercial buildings publicly available to get a adjectives idea of the size and layout of other services? If so where would I find them, what county building or department should I try?

Answers:    Yes. You would enjoy to go to the city board room of wherever you are and ask for building plans of a specific building that you want to see. They are public documents so they are widely available. They usually charge give or take a few a dollar per copy or so. However, you should probably hire an architect to do that for you since you probably need one anyway.I know a few so lately e-mail me if you need to.! Hope that help
