Are stores allowed to charge doesn`t matter what they want for food? So there's this mom and pop store where I live (los angeles)

So there's this mom and pop store where I live (los angeles) and they jack-up the prices for EVERYTHING. Sometimes, they verbs prices out of their a.even though their OWN labels utter something else. Right now, they needed to charge me 10 DOLLARS FOR A BOX OF CORN FLAKES. I walked the HELL out. Is in that anything I can do? Can I report them to someone? Are they allowed to get away next to this?

Answers:   Yes, they can charge what they want and you are free not to shop there.
Contact the manufacturer of the product. There is probably nothing to stop them, but who buys at these prices? We own convenience stores in the UK that go foodstuff of inferior quality and much dearer than the focal supermarkets. But as they are convenient (local) they have to charge more (but not inferior) as they are selling smaller amount volume. Other stores in "poorer" areas deal in at inflated prices because they give (unofficial) credit (on tick). It's a free country-you don;t enjoy to pay it
