I am currently considering on starting a website. An informational one of some sort that is not a business. I am looking to put together money from AD revenues. My question is do I obligation a business license to do that? It seems you own to have a business license to even fart today...
some regulated industries require licenses.that single thing I can regard of is that if your providing information that can be considered professional counseling/guidance in the areas of imperative or medicine for example...otherwise I wouldnt reflect on so

No, you don't need a business license to create an information base website and earn from advertising.

If you are going to deal in products, then you entail to file for your sales/use rates, but not in the skin of an information website

But you can register your business to make it administrator as a sole proprietorship. Business registration is a different process from business licensing. Some states such as VA take about 30 minutes to register a business, while some such as California is much more involved as you first entail to announce the business in a local daily.

Answers:    Many website owners are just regular family working at home. If their websites are popular enough, later their earnings from monetizing their traffic can be comparatively substantial indeed. Take for instance people close to Darren Rowse (Problogger.net), John Chow (JohnChow.com) and Steve Pavlina (stevepavlina.com). These are regular guys who have turned their blogs into five-figure income generate machines.

If you do plan to sell your own products via your website, next you will have to draw from a business license.

And you only requirement to get a license to fart if you are planning to collect and provide the gas (joke)!
