If not, are there any manufactuers out near that would sell items *below* retail price? I dont know which product you are conversation about, but surrounded by my business (I manufacture womens clothing) the store owners would bring real batty at me if I sell directly to the public because afterwards they would lose their customers, and would lose business.
There are times I will sell to the public but I would charge alike amount for an item that a store would charge, so it does not pay for the customer to come to me because they are not positive any money. The other time I would sell to the public is bygone season clothing that the stores dont carry any more.
Most wholesalers do not want to treaty with the public they set out that up to the retailers and that is why retailers charge so much.
