Ebay vs. e-commerce? Hello All, I have a viable product I am looking to provide online
I have a viable product I am looking to provide online and I was wondering should I start an eBay store or an e-commerce website to put up for sale my goods. I know that respectively has associated fees but I be wondering which would be more lucrative in the long residence. I know eBay is easier to get going than an e-commerce site from a setup standpoint but can I charge more on an e-commerce retail site than eBay to ultimately label more money. Any help is appreciated. Is there a function you can't do both - many entrepreneurs do both. Having an eBay store will expose your items to the 240 million member on eBay. Many sellers use eBay for organize generation and harvest customers - sell to them on eBay and next you have their contact information and you can flea market to them and send them to your own website. Honestly, i would do ebay. I have done ebay for masses years and i always kind big profit. I have tried e- commerce and it fail to be at its best, like ebay. I HIGHLY suggest that you progress with ebay, besides, you hold all your facts. Though, again, i would walk with ebay!
all right it will really help if you told us what the product is. But have no idea what youre selling i would progress on ebay. Do you own a website where you can showcase your products? If not try building one at freewebs.com. The builder is free and really eay to follow. Lots of template to choose from. You just own to pay for a domain designation, that is if you want one. I use to vend in ebay but kinda get discourage with the fees even when my item didn't put on the market. Try this new auction site www.gogreenauctions.com. You just pay a allowance when you actually sold your item and offcourse for special features. you can also set up a store for free. Good Luck
For high wrapping up products you want to use E-commerce store.
For low price product you should use Ebay.
Advantage of Ebay is the traffic. Problem with is that adjectives Ebay sellers are trying to bid respectively other with the lowest price. Eventually your border will be too low. Besides you have to reimburse fees for Ebay.
Another advantage of Ebay is fly by hours of darkness image and in attendance is a lot of scam. Buyers might not trust you, even though you are a power Ebay wholesaler. There is no guarantee. No phone number.
People are willing to rate more for the extra service and warranty. In the long term E-commerce site is better.
You build trust and you can use retention. Who will remember your store? Isn't easier to remember www.ABCstore.com than an ebay store?
An e-commerce site take time, because you need to do Search engine optimization technique to get giant ranking in Google and flog with Google adwords. Once your site have build trust you will make more money. Profit edge is much higher than selling on Ebay.
If you want to engender more money and grow I suggest you to start with a e-commerce site.
Find your niche open market and get a honourable drop shipper.

Answers: eBay is a much easier route as no money would renovate hands near you other than the commission checks from eBay that you would change every month. E-commerce is much more involved (although the rewards could be much greater.) For that I'd build a site around bundled services that could grow with you. It's cheaper within the long run.
