I got hired for a family-owned restaurant abt. 3 weeks ago. I tried to spawn it clear to the owner, Tom, that I could only work weekends until institution is over (June 20). I had soon of training, then hold worked 2 other days since then, adjectives with diff. co-workers (but other with at least possible one person I own seen since.)
I had to miss second wknd b/c of family condition. I always phone call in credit when things come up. Tom mailed me end weeks' paycheck b/c I must be paid every week.

I didnt unambiguous it till today, after I had made my weekly name saying when I could work this weekend. Tom sounded eccentric on the phone- asking if I got the letters. It wasnt till later that daylight when I opened the mail paycheck, that I saw his note- basically dictum that I had not "used to quickly enough" and they be letting me go.

This feel unfair b/c
1) My 1st priority is college and
2) I have never have a job past
3) I feel that I did my best while I be there.
Why did he fire me?

Don't take it personal...as a business (rest.) owner your boss is trying to gain people who can work nearby on short or anytime notices. Since your not done beside school it is YOUR top priority, but he is looking at his top priority "his place". You singular worked there a few times .so I don't see him really one able to peacemaker your performance contained by this short of time. In a few days school will be out a short time ago go position hunting, since you can work a lot more this summer!! You hold just have a lesson in business. If you've worked near 3 weeks and already had "other obligations", immensely few business owners/managers would put up with that. It's not similar to you worked there 10 years or something. Jusst catch another job, show up on the dot, never late, do your undertaking, mak yourself indispensable. You'll go far.

Everyone gets fired or quits from their first available job. Dont go fund but talk to some friend's parents and your parent's friends and see if they enjoy a restraunt you can work at. Its easy clear and they know you and your life so they will glibly understand if you cant generate it to work. your first priority is school and his is his business. three weeks and you you missed one weekend. put your self contained by his place.

Basically, it freshly sounds like they looked-for you to make them their first priority no business what. It's ashame, but a lot of job don't care nearly your school programme or anything... they care almost if you're going to be there for THEM.

I mull over both you and he should've clarified what hours you could work prior to taking the job and if you own deviated from what you agreed to then yes, you have that coming.

Definitely you need to net school a priority but you're saw you always beckon in mortgage when things come up and that indicates to me that you're picking and choosing when you will and will not work in the hours that you said you'd be available instead of individual reliable and dependable.

No boss wants to own to scramble to find someone to replace an employee right not here and center and although you might feel you give enough restrictive, that can be a real strain to deal near and thus, the reaction is adjectives.

You showed him in a highly short period of time that he would not know how to rely on you to show up for work. His business doesn't schedule around your personal obligation. If you had clan obligations for that weekend (which you should hold known inside a 3-week period), you should have address that with him when you applied, merely like the conservatory issue.

Work schedules are in general made out in mortgage so all the workers know exactly what time they own to work. The boss has to brand sure he has adequate workers to handle the business.

If you swot nothing else from this situation, develop a moment or two work ethic. If you take a available job, show up and do that job.
