For Accounts folks - debt collecting.? I do a call up every two weeks for my partner company

I do a call up every two weeks for my partner company reminding people their accounts are overdue. I hand over them 6 weeks to pay even though it should be just 4 weeks which is on the invoice. Some people generate all kind of excuses then other get me to email or fax the invoice to them again as a hitch tactic. I get really feral about society not paying on time, as he works on his own and we enjoy to foot the bill for our suppliers from our funds. Today I got short near a supplier as once again they asked me to fax an invoice through to them. Any tips on how to keep my cool all the same get the message across that we want to be paid in good time? He does not work on jobs if citizens owe too much, however it is all the little amounts that append up to big amounts for us. Well, how about requiring wage up front or no services/products will be provided?

You could also give general public an incentive to pay by making your vocabulary such that payment inwardly 10 days gets a 5 % discount.

I dream up that for those customers who are habitually late, you should any terminate the relationship or require payoff up front. Period.

Answers:    i worked in the collection industry for over 19 years, so i own heard every story within the world...however, here's one to tell them:
you hold 48 hours to pay us, consequently we will take further achievement. remember,you need to be equipped to take this conduct within a logical amount of time...i would say take a good collection agency within your city that will take the accounts for free,and you will repay them only if and when they collect the money for you. you sense i didn't say speak about them you will take "legal" goings-on. don't say that until you know how to sue them (its trouble-free if they're in your state...)
