How do I copyright articles and newsletters that I am wanting to publish? Answer: In1978 the copyright laws be changed.

Answer:
In1978 the copyright laws be changed. So, your work is protected by simply printing "C" with a circle around it and the year date. Example C 2007. Defending the copyright if nearby is an infringement may be a different question since it is roughly expensive to defend your work. However, if your work is stolen, it is severely easy to preserve IF you have also "Registered" your work for a levy with the Copyright Office. That is also an expense you must consider. Generally for articles or newsletter content, it wouldn't be worth it. On the other appendage, the name of your newsletter or magazine that you own may be worth it.

Personally, I hold never bothered "registering" any of the articles for magazines I enjoy written although I always include the "C" beside year with everything I enjoy submitted. The magazines I enjoy written for have seem to protect my work. The books I have written enjoy also included the "C" with year. Only once hold I had to write a dispatch to somebody telling them they enjoy STOLEN my work. That person wrote me support and told me they would correct their error and give my work credit. My work is presently an obscure mention in somebody¡¯s record of references.

Good luck next to your work.
The easiest and cheapest way I know of is to communication yourself a copy of the work and don't open it. Put something on the envelope so you'll know its contents and report it away.

And don't forget to put a copyright notice contained by your publication.
