Ok, this might be a stupid question, but I am getting credit card offer and brochures in the letters for off to college stuff from stores approaching Target and then one I've never hear of.I am just wondering how retailers, bank, etc (including ones you've never done business with before) can know that you've turned a guaranteed age?

Answers:
Credit companies and such have plentiful ways of knowing who you are and how old you are. From even padding a simple form on the internet or maybe padding out a card way stern for say a rebate. Anything that requires your DOB get traced. America is very appropriate at finding out what people approaching, and want and knowing exactly when to deliver it to them.
