i'm losing a book store business due to bad paperwork i guess! in that book store, i singular provide stuff like selling stationary, refreshment, and printing service...all the same, not loads of customers come to me :(

what should i do?

Answers: unfortuanately you're up against some strong competition these days beside big business scooping up most of the market. the best path to overcome this is to sell at comparable prices and provide a novel and comfortable atmosphere

be aware to what is around you and how you present yourself

Maybe you requirement a new sign explicitly more visable and makes you look modern.

Cut backbone and only keep hold of your best employees. Keep team that do the best work not ones that you're friends with!

investigate monthly expenditures and try to cut out the things that you don't want. only what is completely obligatory.

analyze your market population and flog to them. if your store is near a geriatrics home/senior citizens complex later you should cater to that populace by providing a quiet reading/cafe nouns and maybe strength care books.
on a college campus, vend school supplies, cheap printing/copying, and childish adult books.
if you work contained by a downtown area next to professionals you could stock business books... (maybe read a few yourself)

People don't take you seriously. Do you go dictionaries at your store? You need one. Firstly, look at who is managing the business. If you are the manager/owner, consequently the fault lies near you.

There are also gains to be made from the photocopying side of your business. Most places I know charge 5p per page. if you payment lb3 per 500 pages of copy weekly, this equals 0.6 p per sheet, and even allowing for a few spoiled sheets, this would still help income for the toner cartridges, and still have room for a small profit. Don't even devise of charging less than 5p per copy unless the customer is asking for significant runs of more than 50 sheets.
