I am 13 and know these moms who needs babysitting because I volunteer at a preschool they put their kids within. One lady requests me to babysit and has one 4 year outmoded and a one year old. I said I charge $7 an hour. Should I own said $6? I know I couldn't pay a babysitter $7 and hour. Or should I vote $7 for the first 2 hour and $5 for any hours after that? Also what games should I play with a 4 year outdated boy who I know could get really restless? I am still new to babysitting, but inculcate toddlers in a classroom, so I thought I shouldn't charge to much. Please relief.
$7 an hour is fine. That's what I use to charge. Don't worry, his gaurdians will explain everything to you. The child can cooperate so he can help you, unless he's not a tremendously good kid. You'll be fine though. Don't verbs about anything.
As long as they were ok beside your charge, that is fine.

Wow! I don't know where you live but around here (Pa) society charge 4 or 5 $ per hour. I guess if the parents are willing to reward 7 that is fine. It also should depend on how several kids, how many hours, do you want a ride there (gas $), what hours (if it is when they are sleeping it should be cheaper) and the ages also if they will be at your house food expenses. For a 1 &4 year behind the times seven $ is fine. that is 3.50 per kid per hour. And at those ages it can win pretty crazy, talk near the parents if you think it is worth more. Or appointment a daycare in you nouns, see what they charge per kid per hour. That will give you a better concept.
No $7 is fine. With the 4 year old play things approaching hide n want and stuff. Also read books, color all that fitting stuff.
Maybe just charge one set price for the time they inevitability you. They'd probably rather that anyway, approaching say $30 for 4 hours. This course you know how long you will be there and they know how much it will cost. If they are goign to be longer than that afterwards you can adjust accordingly, but you should be charging more for subsequent hours not smaller number. like $5 for first 2 hour and $7 therein. If they be happy near what you suggested then i'd will it.
Don't give the kid any sugar if he get restless, try hide and want or something like that. Maybe do something close to face sculpture or take the dog for a wander if they have one. Once he's a bit tired you can put a dvd on or read a book beside him till he's tired.
Where you live will dictate the hourly rate. Some of the other race responding said $7 was large . . . where I live surrounded by Maryland, $7 is a bargain - we money $10 usually. So this is a tough one to answer . . . EXCEPT . . . don't complicate matters by shifting rates for the 2nd hour or changing rates depending on the ages of the kids.
As for 4-yr olds - play concentration, shift fish, candyland, chutes & ladders and other such games. If you don't hold those, hide-and-seek is fun . . . or just play pretend and formulate up some story and give them a persona and they'll play along!
Good luck!
Honestly, 7 dollars an hour sounds really dignified. When I used to babysit, I only charged 5 dollars an hour..or however much the parents be willing to spend. (I usually gone it up to them). I worked at a fast food place for 6.75 an hour and it be way more exhausting than playing beside some kids..
