Answers:
bring insurance but first make sure the costs is valid and legal. bid fedex and ask them what their limits on insurance are and report them what you are wanting to ship and what they suggest you do to insure its safety and yours. too give somebody a lift pictures of the piece for safe keeping and if you own an appraisal from a jeweler make a copy of it and attach the pic's you never know when you will obligation them.
I would insure it AND stress it.you don't want it held up in customs indefinitely because of any reproach on your part. He also is offered insurance through paypal. Do everything you can on your ruin, ask HIM for any suggestions he may have.
When I sent correspondence overseas, I paid for abdication confirmation. I've heard that Western Union and FedEx are two companies that hold the most integrity overseas. Take some pics, keep detailed receipts.
appropriate luck!
I would gossip to a manager at the place you ship it from and get sure you get everything within writing. You may need to shop around.
I would be VERY VERY CAREFUL!! There are so several horrible things going in other coutries!! I be a victum but i wasn't by shipping anything.

I would wait a week past you ship it out. I have have someone send me money through paypal. ANd a week then, paypal sent me a message saying for some drive it didn't go through. AND PREVIOUSLY IT SHOWED IT CLEARED! And said for me not to ship my item. WHEN I HAD ALREADY SHIPPED IT. AND PAYPAL is a PAIN surrounded by the BUM to deal beside on those kinds of things. When at hand is a dispute... paypal will take that money that be sent to you for that item, and take it out of your details and put it on hold.

I have never used FEDEX... I use UPS...
AND YES, I WOULD GET INSURANCE IF OFFERED! You woudn't be the bright if you didn't! It might be a lengthly preocess to draw from your money back if something did crop up to it, but I am sure they would refund you money. I WOULD MAKE IT TO WHERE THE CUSTOMER HAD TO SIGN FOR IT ALSO, so it's not vanished at there door step for someone to simply walk sour with. AND GET A TRACKING NUMBER. If you don't own a tracking number and they tell paypal they did not acquire it, and you can prove it was deliveried, they will attain there money posterior!! Also, like everyone else is wise saying, take pictures, and I might even ask to see a inspector where I am taking it to e-mail out and wrap it with them watching. ANd ask the officer about their lingo and conditions on insurance and all that.

I hope this be a little bit effective...
Well, first of all, I wouldn't own posted this particular request for information on a website where you never know who is reading what you are writing. Second, all right duh you should get insurance on a 30 freaking carat diamond necklace! For Pete's sake! If you own any questions just about it, talk to FedEx. I one-sidedly prefer UPS.
Geesh...I'd fly it to them if I were you...I propose with you, fetch on, service detail, and all that jazz.
are you serious?how much is the dimond cost?and how much is the sale price ?if you make alot of profit why dont you sent it at hand. if you need company i can assist you ,but theres a charge not much.
Don't ship untill the money has cleared. I would hold on to the money at lowest 3 weeks just to be sure.
i ship over 100 items a month overseas for 3 years. i have never encounter fraud from selling. have paypal confirmed the address and confirmed the buyer. do that first. i
