I have be playing the piano for years and would love to start giving lessons ( and yes I go to school for Music Education-didn't graduate but completed a 3 years) I hold references I could use as powerfully..SO how do I get started, where on earth are the best places to advertise?? I am contained by Oakland County, Mi so help me if you are knowledgable as to what I should do to start. Do I entail to start my own business? So many question help please.
Wow, I'm in santa cruz county...small world lol

Just advertice! Everywhere and anywhere. Go to kinkos and print out fliers. Post them at account stores, markets, guitar center stores, tabloid adds and family circle & friends.

Usually, its little kids that take piano course, so go to afternoon cares and toy stores where on earth parents can see them.

Goodluck with your business.

I remember when I dream to become a pianist but I've become a black hat marketer . I recommend you dance to some music school as a lecturer , and teach at hand , and if you want to teach at home , you can ask your students near to come and learn at your home.

hope this help.

Answers:    Obviously you want to lay it on thick that you are going to be giving piano lessons. Tell your friends and clan. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising.

If at hand is a local restaurant or something that has a community boards, you may want to post flyers next to your phone number advertising your piano curriculum. Most management surrounded by these places would be willing to own that on their community board.

You may also want to consider trying to talk to the overseer or owner at your local music shop that offers piano module. Let them know that you are offering piano lessons. If they are fully booked near students, you could easily procure some referrals from them. I don't know if it will work, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Hope this help and good luck.
