I would close to to approachable my own business within retail (shoes), any advocate on how to be successful? I work full time in engineering, retail is totally contemporary for me,

I work full time in engineering, retail is totally contemporary for me, not sure how to start... I do have a great location contained by mind, but how can I run the store and work full time in some other place and be successful within the same time? It must be possible... hand over me any advise that you deduce it would help. Do you know of any upright places to get en-gross shoes? Any shows? Expositions? The geographic nouns of interest is Michigan/Ontario.
Sorry for the blunt answer but chances are, minus knowing the business you are starting, and not being competent to devote 100% to it, your chances of survival are close zero.
