On the day that our company be created, we set a series of games into a rally, adjectives employees could involve yourself in ( As long as it doesn't interfere with its responsibilities ), we set team ( Always of different areas, never the same nouns ) and we set challenges surrounded by the form of games, besides nurturing team work, individuality, management and knowing about our products/services we endow with them to the ones who won big and rewarding prizes. I too am on a committee. Seemed lame at first, but we're actually doing a few fun things. We are celebrate a different theme hours of daylight each month, and we've set up a social calendar to one and only list fun events next to no work stuff mentioned, to help us commit to specific goal. Also doing a board game tournament once a week at lunch hour. We (mostly me!) also talk our boss into giving us a small budget to show we're serious! Found some great ideas too surrounded by an e-book from www.fun-at-work.com. Some of the ideas are a bit out within, but there's lots that are doable and easy to implement.
Hope this help. Get your boss on side, that's the most crucial thing!
