How probability in existence do we get to live it. I started BradshawWholesale.com at 44 to give support to folks make money at home, flea market and such. All should try, even if in a tiny track to do something for themselves like a small biz or even selling at a flea marketplace. Its not only fun, gather round people and such, but you fashion money too

It depends on his health, the type of business (if it's needed or merely something that he wants to do). I don't have a sneaking suspicion that it's too late if he have a great idea and the know-how to run it.

I'm 57 and thinking about starting something. I've have a couple of successes and a couple of failures but I chew over I have what it take to try again.

i don't reason 50's is too late. as long as you can still hang on to up then why not? if you hold the passion and courage afterwards go for it, if doing business will take home you happy afterwards that's great. there's no one told us that 50+++ is too behind time to do a business..

My husband ( age 63) and my self ( age ??) are thinking bout' getting into an E-Bay business,,,,so we can both work from home ,,,, I can do the typing up of the ads, and bar the freight, and he can take the photo's and work up the "Store Front"! If we know how or where to start,,, we'd of done it already. So. .. I reason you should get bringing up the rear him, and support him, and encourage him.....and get an effort to help out him every chance you find. "Good For Him".........

I would hope not. I'm 56, recently retired, and thinking just about starting my own business to replace the income I lost from an early retirement. I'm tired of working for someone else and want to do something I love (instead of working to please someone else). I don't surmise 50 is the new 30..that's hype garbage from the youth overcome to make child boomers feel better nearly getting older. 50 is still 50 and not a soul should dismiss lightly the problems still associated beside aging (mainly health, and age discrimination). The plus side is experience and five decades of experience that no 30 year old possibly coud hold. If your father is healthy, spry, and not shy of hard work and have the money to invest in his business (knowing most businesses don't sort money at the beginning), why should he not follow his dream? Just because you age, you don't stop having goal, dreams and yearnings. As I call in there be a 100 year old woman who just now got a hole-in-one while golfing...she wouldn't enjoy done that if she had tolerate anyone convince her she was too old-fashioned.

Well, 50 is sort of young, but I am sure he will cram and do quite ably. I am 63 and have expanded my excise preparation business to a thousand returns last year and my work nouns keeps increasing. Age is one and only a state of mind anyway. Middle age seems to be the age you are presently at nowdays.
