I'm really interested in starting a hot dog stand. I enjoy a college education but really would savour making my own hours and doing something simple outdoors. Is there room surrounded by this world for another hotdog stand? Would being a woman contained by this field construct things harder? I've never seen a hotdog woman...
I think it's a great perception, I have over 35 years starting and operating my own companies. The reality that you are a woman will have no effect on your nouns. Hot dogs are a piece of America and there is room for plenty more. You must own a great product to succeed. The successful hot dog stands that I have see in my 53 years are the ones that steam their buns, own superior dogs (big & plump), have a to die for chile near fresh shredded cheese and fresh onions, not to mention the good antediluvian musturd and relish dogs. Here's to the success of your modern business "Hot Diggity Dog"!
The major thing you have need of to do is figure out if the location/locations you intend to deal in your hot dogs would support your effort. Go to the chamber of commerce surrounded by your community and find out what zoning laws would apply to you and any resources they own available for small businesses.

Talk to the SBA , the Small Business Administration and see what resources are available for a woman entreprenuer.

If you are good at what you do and your food is virtuous, there is ALWAYS room for another food merchant.

Good luck,

Tex

Of course you¡¯ll need to be sure to take a good location, purely like next to any other business, but your gender won¡¯t be a factor at adjectives. Folks are going to be concerned with the ability of your food not whether you¡¯re a man or woman.
The first thing you want to do is contact you county form department, they will be able to provide you near all of the information you¡¯ll entail in regard to permits and other requirements they hold. Next you¡¯ll want to talk to the folks at the ¡°roadffod.com¡± forums, do a go through of the archives and you¡¯ll find answers to just give or take a few any question you might hold. And if you don¡¯t find it in the archives the race at this site are very up to date and willing to proffer an opinion. Another virtuous source of information is the ¡°Hot Dog Book¡± available on line and it¡¯s cheap. And finally, you can find some honourable carts for Dutch auction on both ¡°crag¡¯s list¡± and ¡°E-Bay¡±. As businesses go, hot dog cart have an incredibly low start up cost if you jump for a used cart and shop around for your food.
