Question: Letterpress have giant rejects during short runs. (color problem, bad register etc) Does anyone own any "standard guideline" for % reject. Eg for 10 metre run, what kind of % reject can we expect? for 100 metre, % reject etc.

I run a letterpress shop and will update Clients that the order will be +/- 10%, If the run is short ie. 500 I will inform them that the lavish will be about 10%, For longer runs 10,000 20,000 etc , gamble away may only be 1-2%, The best channel to approch this is applying the printing trade norm of +/- 10 under and overs. This applys to sheetfeed aswell.
