so my dad works at a big food market.. and he other comes home to complain about how much food the company is throwing away. similar to today, he told us they threw away 55 boxes filled near mangos ! he says that the food might be expired (&thats understandable).. but, i indicate can tightly sealed cookies rot on the afternoon of their expiration date? my dad usually brings food home that was designed to throw away.. theyre actually fine. newly 'expired'. trust me, theyre fine. isnt there an establishment or something like that can use this food? appendage it out to people who have need of it?

btw, they have some food that arent even expired. they simply dont have ample room to store the food.

i think im going to start a mango diet.. ;]

Answers:    Depending on where on earth you live - there are places call things like "Pantry" or other that provides foods for poor.

There are also shelters and kitchens that be paid daily meal for the poor.

But before you consider you can drop off a truck of stuff - these locations are operating on value - they don't have lots of money - so they single use products that can easily be used.

Such as can goods etc.
As for perishables - you may want to ask the local kitchens - but it will require transportation - and specifically hard.

This is a big problem surrounded by waste - so if you can integer out efficiency for the local wishes - you may have a plan.
