I have only just developed a website for my friends buisness. The site consits of custum design, backgrounds, pictures, logos, etc. and is multiple page long. What is a reasonable price to charge her?
Answers:
That depends on tons things. Did you do it as a friend, or as a professional? Does your friend know that you are charging for your time or how much work and time was involved within doing this.
Since you didn't set up a fee structure up to that time doing the work you may run into some problems, and possibly some hard mental state.
Some people work as "consultants" and charge a flat duty per hour worked (for example $20 or $40 per hour). That is how my husband charges, except when he is volunteering his time for non profits. The amount you would charge depends largely on your skill level and the depth of custom work, your geography/cost of living would influence salary of other like professionals contained by your area, and whether or not you plan to provide ongoing support...
You might want to consider a agreement with your friend that he/she allows you to put a relation to your business on the website for a discount on the work you did. Most of the work my husband does is from word of mouth referrals from individuals he has done work for within the past, and that keep him very busy.
