If you posted something to someone who paid via paypal for an item that be never recieved would you be supportive of their attempts to claim money back via the buyer protection policy or would you be narky and suggest they be implying you hadn't posted it?
I too own bought something of ebay which has still not arrived 3 weeks then, I have open a paypal dispute which is still waiting to be reviewed by Paypal, the seller have provided a tracking number for royal mail but I tried within on line and its not a real number,

I run a number of businesses including selling online if a customer have a complaint we always resolve the complaint straight away but this prat have said I'm trying to scam him, I bought over lb800 worth of items on the same sunshine and he is the only one I enjoy had a problem next to

Iv read loads of blogs and forums regarding this issue because its the first problem Iv have and they all right to be heard they always rule contained by favour of the buyer,
These situations can be tricky, but personally, I would look subsidise at the buyer's feedback to see if they had made these type of claims since and if they had a history of 'bad' transactions. E-bay other advise both buyers and seller to try to settle things amicably before going through the buyer protection policy, but if a solution could not be reach, then a merchant would really have no substitute but to abide by the buyer protection policy. As a seller, I imagine I would be a bit annoyed about it, but I supposed we enjoy to accept that mistakes are made (quite commonly by the Royal Mail) and make sure that I get proof of postage each time I dispatched something. They are rather within their rights to do this as you are the street trader and have to prove confinement, always transport your goods by record delivery because paypal require proof of posting and this covers you from scammers. Ebay have gone down hill since the fresh rules and they have made it easier for the buyer to verbs a fast one .

Answers:   Neither, I would simply state the facts on the Paypal dispute form.
Please tell me you sent it record delivery?!

Edit: thats OK later. As a buyer I have won every Paypal dispute I hold raised and as a peddler lost those when i didnt send via record. Let them be narky, they only own so many days to mess you around earlier paypal will make a verdict.
As a buyer you hold very low likelihood. But if you have sent it via RECORDED POST, later you may have some probability not before.

eBay is not a fantasy for BUYER.. sorry.
