Should I pursue this business model? I had an awesome hypothesis for a magazine but I found out

I had an awesome hypothesis for a magazine but I found out someone already started it last year. They are still contained by their infancy so I'm thinking I still have a unpredictability to get contained by the game. BUt the piece is that I don't feel resembling I'll have that "edge" b/c I won't be the first one on the souk. What do you guys think? Is adjectives hope lost or should I try and compete?

Answers: Of course you can compete! That's what the market is for.

You may focus on alike topic, but you can have a different voice, a different editorial style, even a different audience.

Take scrapbooking -- there's various magazines out at hand on the topic. Or small business and entrepreneurship.

Study your competitor. Identify the strong points and weak points. Find areas where on earth your target market might be interested surrounded by, but this magazine is underserving or not touching at all. Analyze how you can create a BETTER product than this business

The competitor is merely starting, and that is pious for you. You won't be competing with someone so okay established in the marketplace that finding advertisers and readership would be very tough.
