Starting a mat cleaning business? my husband is starting a carpet cleaning business and i be wondering

my husband is starting a carpet cleaning business and i be wondering if anyone knows of a righteous shampooer. looking to spend no more then 1500.00.
Also what is a rational price per room and for couches? There isnt anyone else within 80 miles that does hearth rug cleaning. thanks!
When I used to own my a carpet cleaning business, I amalgamated the NAPC. National Association of Professional Cleaners.

They would send me lead of people seeking my services contained by my area, discounts on equipment, and lots of other things. I checked out their site b4 I answered this grill, and discovered they are still around but have changed their pet name to Cleaning Association.

They have forums, and lots of serve for you to network and build relationships. I hope this help, here is the link

What's scarey about this is 'there isn't anyone else in 80 miles that does carpet cleaning'. Why not? Is within not enough business to trademark it profitable to start one? I'd look a bit harder at this before spending up to $1500 on a piece of equipment only to find out there's not ample business to recoup your investment.

As for pricing..that's other the thing when starting a business. Best concept is to talk to other runner cleaning business owners. Call them, ask to speak with the owner and detail them you are planning to open yours surrounded by your location. Most small business owners share information, contacts, resources and where to buy equipment (and who not to buy equipment from!).

Your receiver bill may get a bit large but you'll have 'real world' facts to fashion your business work.

Good luck to you both.

Answers:    You are bound to bring competition shortly. As soon as you start advertising it is amazingly likely that your competition is going to start appearing OVER and OVER again. Best to set yourself apart right from the setting up. Don't underprice as people see that as cheap service. Charge by the square footage not by the room. Apartment complex's .7 cents a square foot 5000 sq ft and lower. Residental homes if it looks resembling 2200 sq ft charge $100-125.
As for equipment... your best bet would be to look at chem-tex portables some are just as powerful as truck handling, but, best part, hugely portable for those long apartment hallways. Anything over 450psi will work best. Something similar to the speedster.
Good luck carpet cleaning is awesome! LOTS OF MONEY TO BE MADE... except here within Houston. :-(
