I'd resembling to know as well. A friend know of a lady whose house burned down during the darkness and all she and her husband and two small girls have was the pj's they wore to bed. The mom go to the SA the next time to get a correction of clothes for the family and be told she needed to pay for them (she have been told by someone that the SA help people surrounded by her situation). When she explained her situation and that she had no commission and no money, they still insisted she purchase whatever they needed. I hold not donated to them since I believe that the Salvation Army uses part of it to maintain the shop open (ex. clear for electricity) and the rest goes to local homeless shelters and other similar organization.

They don't care give or take a few your color or religion or what country you come from - they are totally dedicated to helping little ancestors who are suffering in some mode and have nowhere else to turn. And you don't hold to pay them a penny and you don't enjoy to beg, grovel or filll out stupid administration forms.
What I wrote above is based on my firsthand, personal skill of the Salvation Army in my city. In my personal experience, the individual reason they would not backing a person, is if the personage had previously taken power of their help contained by some way. However, it's a huge administration and in any ample organization, near are sure to be some incompetent people. Someone highly developed up would appreciate hearing almost it if it were true.
