Essentially, the plaintiff have to establish two things - both of which you have to christen into question (i.e. establish average doubt)

a) that you owe them money (they have to establish that you incurred the Debt and that they hold presented you with the bill)
b) that you can't/won't payment (they have to show not single that they have given you ample opportunity to pay packet but that they have offered you believable terms and considered any likely offer you may own made)
