What skills do you have need of to be a financial planner? Question:

Need to know how to fool people.



stipulation strong liking for numbers...
correct analytical skills......
and a clear and sharp mind to decide....

and big of all.... never regret for olden deeds.....

apprehend finances would be a good start...

Problem is most of those jobs are commission job or cold calling and it's very difficult to trade people things resembling that. I don't recommend it as a career. Unless you could provide ice to eskimos. Or used cars. It's sort of close to that.

Business/Finance degree. Ability to follow financial statements. Understand stock value, trends, etc. Have a CFP, Series 7 and 6 (I think).

Ability to put on the market self and products.


Answers:
Accounting background. Good math skills. Good fluency of the stock market and hoard, mutual funds, bonds, etc. A financial planner has to know everything at hand is to know about money or society will not trust them to handle theor money.
common sense and a polite tongue...not in the ornery way;)
