There isn't much of anything free to "download" that's worthwhile for small business, but I'd significantly suggest getting a copy of the latest publication of quickbooks. It lets you stability checking accounts, pay personnel, write checks to vendors, track things coming within and out, and send bills to empire. At Sams Club, you can even get a magazine that has a dosh register function and will take credit cards.

All of this have a cost of course... but for a small business, it's straightforward to use and very handy. It will pay packet for itself as your business grows.
