Answers:    It is a "finders fee" commonly done in America.

To be correct its a "Referral Fee" contained by most business its called a "Bird Dog fee" ..
All of the above are voluntary compensated by a person or business near no agreement or contract.
Its like a "Thank you "card" next to a little change, or a "cash tip".
It does not report to IRS or is it deductable.some do as "petty dosh expenditures," as general amount of incidential cost of doing business.

"Contracted Agreements," for public sale of good or services are;

"Brokers, Sales agency's, as "Telephone Boiler Room" operation for referrals and commission sale staff's

Those report on a "W-4" as contract labor, and not on a
"W-2" as wages, (hourly wages)

If anybody wants to dispense you money, "hay, Its still America," take it and soak up it,

Sounds like you get a good entity going stay in at hand ....
You are a broker. That is what you call someone who finds customers for a company. Be cautious, some kinds of brokers are significantly regulated by state/feds. You are also contracted to the businesses you deal next to. Oral contracts are perfectly endorsed, just complex to enforce. An "agreement" that results in reimbursement in any generous is a contract. If you are going to keep this up, find a legal representative for a consultation, and see about getting your contracts within writing. I guarantee that if what you are doing is illegal lacking a license, you will be the one in trouble and not the businessman.
